Permaculture for Fun

Permaculture designs are often made for serious or practical purposes but have you ever considered fun applications of permaculture design tools? For example; games, art projects, and creative pursuits?

We asked CoLab members which creative and fun design tools they like to use:

“I am reminded of at least three great artists; KT Shepherd, Liz Postlethwaite, and Carla Moss; the last one also happens to be my diploma tutor and they all use permaculture in different ways in their creative pursuits.

I like to be creative, and right now I am using permaculture design to work on a card game which is centered around creating a forest garden using a commons market. I only work on this little project at weekends and because it is nice to be away from the screen while making the paper prototype.

Perhaps by the end of the year, I’ll be able to share it with the world in a great crowdfunding campaign to launch it. In the meantime, I have been having fun testing it out with different people of all ages including my mum and my nephews (aged 70 & 5).”
