Description
This document is a session outline for the MVA workshop inclusion practice labs online.
If you ever wondered, how might we have the most critical of conversations and keep moving
forward?; this is for you. If you ever felt not heard, not seen, and not valued for your story, who you are, and didn’t find meaning in collaborations; this is for you. If you are curious about how to handle difficult people in conversation; this is for you. If you want to invite diversity, inclusion, and belonging to your workplace but have not found the means or ways to go all the way; this is for you.
The power of a brave space lies first in experiencing one, and then inviting others to be brave with us. It requires learning, practicing, and then celebrating. It will require building psychological muscle and psychological safety. In this workshop You will know what it feels like to experience “a holding container” or a brave space. We will practice in this container together, and we will keep it energized. We will keep the conversation moving towards actionable outcomes. We will celebrate our journey and walk away with practices and the wisdom of being yourself when you are brave. By the end You will feel more confident to take this work out in a safe and courageous manner.
Our Learning Objectives are:
• Create practice spaces for crucial conversations, deep listening
• Practice with vulnerability and openness and be able to use practices at work and home
• Navigate emotions and work toward possibilities
• Strengthen psychological muscle
• Build collaborative and meaningful conversations within teams, communities (and stakeholders)
