Prelude to the bioeconomy – connecting the unconnected (Rob de Laet)
July 21 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm EDT
Who: Rob de Laet
The rural poor and indigenous people around the world and especially in the tropical zones hold the key to regenerating the world’s forests and biodiversity and would if they got paid to do so. Connecting these millions of unconnected rural people to the internet and carbon credits would be a blessing for them, lay the foundation for a flourishing bioeconomy, would mitigate climate change and slow the sixth mass extinction, while ticking a lot of the SDG boxes. I would be grateful for people to drop in and hear me out how we could get this done at the scale and granularity to turn things around on the ground from destruction to regeneration.
