December 18, 2020 @ 12:00 am 2:30 am UTC+0

An open interactive exploration of food sovereignty as a leverage system within the greater human world of stark inequality and apathy. We centre upon two case studies on regeneration in the Global South in the face of systemic ecosociopolitical oppression:

Kwame’s Agroforest in Ghana – economic regeneration via permaculture

Regenerative Food Ecosystems Labs in climate-battered Philippines

Join us for 2.5h of live interviews, breakout discussions and a Microsolidarity activity that will equip you to participate in our interconnected world. Come as you are, ready to discover and share.

About Food Sovereignty

In 1996, international farmers’ organisation La Via Campesina sought to overthrow corporate demands dictating the foods produced by farmers – and in turn, give back the power to produce, distribute, and consume. Food sovereignty is the right of the people to choose what they grow and eat and what they consider culturally and physically appropriate.
