The International Permaculture CoLab is actively looking to appoint 2 people for the Emergent Festival within the Next Steps Project. Perhaps one could lead and the second could support.
The Festival Coordinators Team will be comprised of people who are skilled facilitators with experience in coordinating within a self organized system.
We anticipate this position will be paid on an hourly basis on an equitable wage rate and will require around 20 hours of time over the next few months. With a total maximum budget for both roles of 1000 GBP.
The positions will be active until the Emergent Festival is finished and will be reopened at the start of the project year again next February for the third (and final) year .
Role & Responsibilities:
Keep the festival running smoothly on time and on budget
Manage admin tasks on CoBudget / Slack– training for this will be provided
Manage communications & assist Festival Rockstars & Ravers to actively participate
Host fun Festival Events within timelines provided – see timeline
Feedback into the festival setup for future improvements
Complete quarterly & end of project monitoring reports as per other Next Steps projects
Having 2 people on this team enables an opportunity to co-design events and assign tasks between the crew as needed.

PermaPuheet, the Finnish term for “permatalks,” is a permaculture online lecture series which runs in Finland since 2020 – every year in the beginning of the year – one lecture a week – usually every Thursday at 18:30 CET.
Teachers introduce one topic of their choice and teach for 30 to 90 minutes. At the end of the sessions there is usually a Q&A. Lectures get streamed to and recorded at Youtube.

The permaculture convergence team is working on a timeline of history of permaculture convergences, we have already a large spreadsheet of events and would like to hire someone to work a maximum of 10 to 15 hours this coming week and the next on the following tasks:
finish the data inputting from the spreadsheet into the website
confirm data which is marked to be confirmed
go out to collect the missing data

you have worked with worpress before
you have 10 to 15 hours during CET business hours to put into this project immediately starting this coming week and the next
able to work independently but work in close collaboration with other team members
member of the permaculture colab / have some knowledge of permaculture convergences

The Diversity Stipend Team will be comprised of people who are ideally themselves eligible for a diversity stipend and have an interest and motivation to support projects and individuals in this theme of work.
We anticipate this position will be paid on an hourly basis on an equitable wage rate and will require 15 – 20 hours of time over the next few months.
The positions will be active until the Diversity Community Pot is exhausted and will be reopened at the start of the project year again in February on the second and third year respectively.
Role & Responsibilities:
Support groups & individuals to apply for a diversity grant / stipend
Review applications for completion upon submission within 48 hours
Forward on the public parts of applications in the #next-steps-project channel
Alert applicant of any pending clarifying questions / objections
Link successful applicants / contributors with the project manager for set up
Provide and pass on feedback of this process in order to improve it
Make a commitment not to disclose the private parts of the applications submitted.
Having 2 people on this team enables a quick turnaround in the process, an opportunity to consult each other in case anything is unclear and also ensures holidays and sickness are covered.
The project manager will be on hand to provide support and induction training.
