Colab Podcast - Episode 7
In the final episode of this series of the CoLab Podcast, we spoke to Andriy Grushetsky. In 2019 Andriy co-founded Tepla Gora, an eco-community and retreat centre in the mountains in the west of Ukraine. They own 5 hectares of land and they practice eco-living by collecting rainwater, using solar panels, wind turbines, and compost toilets.
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Tepla Gora has been providing shelter for refugees. This includes war veterans and people who have been displaced from their homes. They are providing food, shelter, and psychological and logistic help to anybody who needs it.

Osada Earth
Osada Earth is a living community gathered around the question: “How to be a human in troubled times?”. No matter what you call the trouble of these times - the Great Unraveling, Polycrisis, Climate Catastrophe, Societal Collapse - the time is urgent and Osada Earth believe it may be time for us to weave our paths together in this work.
Now, in its third year, the project is ready to invite more people, more ideas, more caring and aliveness. There are many ways for you to get involved.

Women’s Leadership in Regenerative Intentional Communities
This session builds on the vast experiences in CLIs (community led initiatives) and critical perspectives of three women leaders in ecovillages across Europe (Spain, Slovenia and the Netherlands). The session aims to be a space for good practices exchange, learning with and from each other, and empowerment through inspirational life stories.
Invited women leaders will be sharing empowering life stories which hope to inspire collective strength, foster a dynamic exchange that catalyse self-empowerment and solidarity among women, and reveal how paths of reconfiguring gender relations intertwine with regenerative community building. Furthermore, identifying opportunities and challenges for women leaders in CLIs and exchanging best practices to handle them acts as a beacon for integrating gender transformation into socio-environmentally regenerative communities.
This session will be held on March 7th 2024, 18:00 - 19:30h CET.

Diversity and Decolonization

The International Permaculture CoLab recognises that permaculture history, ethics, principles and practices have deep roots in many indigenous cultures.
This section of our newsletter is dedicated to addressing gaps in knowledge, highlighting resources and important work. We seek to promote, share and support diversity and decolonization projects, organisations and shared knowledge around the world that are aligned with our vision of a socially just world where we live in harmony with nature.
